Schwartz rediscovered her love of abstract art, drawing inspiration from her background in architecture and product design.
She’s an LA-based artist who sees her practice as a form of meditation—a way to slip into stillness and listen inward. In her work, she’s less focused on the end result and more interested in what unfolds in the moment. That approach shows up in her materials and surfaces—repurposed objects and thrifted frames layered with mixed media. Her choices are intentional but open-ended, allowing room for the unexpected.
Informed by her training in design, her visual language thrives on contrast: brightness against darkness, textured beside smoothness, chaos held by structure, vintage mixed with contemporary.

Balancing Act
on mental health: sometimes I feel like either my anxiety or depression can get the better of me; it truly depends on the day, the season, and circumstances. but what I always find interesting about it is when they morph from one to the other. I will say though, that my tendency to be over-analytical does help me in life, with my job, my art, and understanding people. so I guess I can’t say it’s all bad. and the depression (which honestly is kind of a new addition to the mix since turning 30✨) helps me to take a beat after running on fumes. guess it really is a ‘balancing act.’
